These design proposals respect and elevate that aristocratic European heritage, utilizing classic architectural wall details while infusing the space with a crisp, calm, and highly tailored contemporary palette suited for sophisticated urban living.
European Heritage and Architectural Millwork
The defining framework of this style is the meticulous celebration of classical wall paneling and wainscoting (boiserie). The vertical planes are treated with geometric wood moldings, traditional frames, and elegant dado rails that scale the high walls, introducing a deep sense of historical architectural luxury and rhythmic order. Instead of sticking to plain white, these panels are coated in a sophisticated bi-color or monochromatic scheme featuring soft slate blue, muted steel gray, and crisp alabaster white.
